The Lookout Mountain Club is a private club that resulted from the union of two historic establishments: The Lookout Mountain Golf Club and the Lookout Mountain Fairyland Club. Situated in the picturesque area of Lookout Mountain, the club provides a comprehensive range of country club amenities. These include opportunities for golf, swimming, tennis, pickleball, fitness activities, dining, and hosting special events. The club's offerings are spread across two properties on Lookout Mountain, offering members a diverse array of recreational and social options.

The Golf Course & Clubhouse

The Lookout Mountain Club features an esteemed 18-hole championship golf course built in 1925, earning recognition as one of Golfweek magazine's "Top 125 Classical Golf Courses." Renowned American golf course architect Seth Raynor designed this exceptional course, and it has recently undergone a comprehensive restoration led by esteemed golf course architects Tyler Rae and Kyle Franz. The restoration involved a thorough revamp of greens, bunkers, fairways, and roughs, meticulously restoring the course's natural contours based on the initial golf architecture plan by Gil Hanse. A new irrigation system was also implemented, ensuring the course's long-term sustainability.Situated uniquely atop a mountain, this course is a rare example of Raynor's work, being one of only 30 such courses remaining in the United States. This distinctive location combines elements of both links and inland courses, offering a captivating golfing experience with challenging holes and awe-inspiring mountain vistas. The course was recently revitalized in 2023 by golf course architects Tyler Rae and Kyle Franz, it was lauded as the top renovation of 2023 by Golf Digest. The course hosts various prestigious tournaments, including the renowned "Swing Ding" member/guest tournament. The Pro Shop provides professional golf instruction and a diverse array of golf-related items. Dining experiences, including regular lunches and weekend brunches, take place at the golf clubhouse. This clubhouse underwent a full renovation in 2000 and offers a spacious bar area, main dining area, covered patio, and a dedicated Men’s Grille. The Lookout Mountain Club's rich history, recent restoration, and array of amenities make it a cherished destination for both professional and amateur golf enthusiasts.

The Fairyland Clubhouse

Originally established as an inn in 1926, the Fairyland Clubhouse stands today as the main office of the Lookout Mountain Club. Positioned on the scenic Eastern edge of Lookout Mountain amidst impressive rock formations, the elegant Tudor-style clubhouse is a registered historic landmark that reflects the charm of a bygone era. The club has thoughtfully preserved its historical character while introducing modern conveniences and amenities for members. Alongside superb dining options, the Fairyland clubhouse offers various event spaces and banquet facilities that add a touch of distinction to any occasion.

Beyond its dining offerings, the clubhouse provides a range of recreational activities, including swimming, tennis, pickleball, and a cutting-edge Fitness Center that features diverse fitness classes, personal training, and even childcare services.
