Swing Ding

The Swing Ding event takes center stage as one of the South's premier gatherings. Originating in 1959 and spearheaded by Jack Lupton and John Stout, St., winners of the inaugural Swing Ding, this event is a unique blend of celebration and golf. Set against the backdrop of the Seth Raynor-designed course and its panoramic multi-state views, the Swing Ding transforms the club. From logoed range balls to live performances by Bluegrass or Jazz bands, this event is far from ordinary. It's an experience that lingers in memory for years to come. Scorecard

Hole 1

Originally designed to be a par 5, but due to the clubhouse construction, the hole was finished as a par 4. The tall tree just left of the green is your target off the tee. A good tee ball left of center will catch a slope that will help advance the ball further down the fairway. This is one of the only 3 greens having a tendency to break up the mountain.
